Veneto & Venice Food and Recipes
My first introduction to the cooking of the Veneto region was through my mother-in-law from Vicenza. I immediately fell in love – with the cooking that is! On this page I want to share with you some of my all time best recipes from the Veneto and a few from other regions of Italy.
Some of the best recipes are from my mother-in-law, some are from local restaurants while others have been shared with me by friends. They range from a Gnocchi recipe through to a great asparagus recipe and even an Italian cookie recipe – Veneto style. In Veneto and Venice food is a serious business and the Veneto is the region of Italy where you will find dishes to suit all tastes. Venice, Lake Garda and the coastal region have some fabulous fish recipes, Verona is famous for its duck and pheasant, while throughout the mountain areas polenta recipes and gnocchi recipes abound.
