The Five Best Cities in Italy
Which are the five best cities in Italy? Very difficult question and I am going to do my best to answer it. I am sure you won't agree with all of them so please let me know your favorite Italian cities or what makes Italy so special for you. The five best cities listed are in no particular order. You will notice many are cities in northern Italy but that bias is perhaps because I have lived for over ten years in the north of Italy.
Venice Italy
1) Venice ItalyThe most romantic city on earth, nowhere is quite like Venice Italy and Venice is certainly the best of all the cities in northern Italy if not the best city in Italy. 2) Turin The city of kings,
Turin or Torino
is an elegant city full of palaces and some of the best food in Italy. 3) Florence Probably my least favorite of the five, Florence is still a great place. 4) Verona The city is wonderful and the Roman Arena is on my list
of things that make Italy so special.
5) Rome Last but certainly not least is the city that is perhaps the greatest city on earth, chaotic and yet wonderful. Which cities nearly made the list? Lucca, Urbino, Sienna and maybe Bari. Naples and Milan are two cities I really don't like at all and would not even include them in the top twenty. Which are the best towns and villages in Italy?
