What Makes Italy Special & Unique?

What makes Italy so special? A very difficult question and after more than ten years of living in Italy it is now even harder to answer, so much is so extraordinarily good and most of it is unique to Italy too.

Undaunted by trying to do the impossible Andrew (my husband)and I have set ourselves the challenging task of discovering the best things about Italy.

Whether it is a special town or village, a great beach or a type of pasta we have put together various lists featuring just a few of the things we love most about Italy, click on the links further down the page to view the lists.

Andrew and I know the north of Italy a lot better than the south so I am sure we might well have missed a few things out. Please do let us know what we have missed or what it is that makes Italy special for you. We are always happy to add new discoveries.
