Images of Italy

Susan Papazian has delighted us before with her outstanding photos. She's shared galleries of Tuscany and of Orvieto and now she's shared this one of her latest journey through the beautiful Italian boot.

All Susan's photos make me want to cry in the loveliest of ways; I can almost hear the chaos of the piazza, smell the sweet jasmine of the Amalfi Coast. How I long to be back in the beautiful landscapes she shares.

I hope the photos have the same effect on you, please click like below if they do. Remember too that if you feel life would be a little better in Italy, even if only for a short while, then you can start booking now simply by clicking here.

Amalfi Coast

Positano on the Amalfi CoastPositano

Is there anywhere that says Italy more than the Amalfi Coast? This one was taken in Positano on this coast...I simply love the little fiat in the foreground! If you'd like to visit the Amalfi Coast here are my suggestions.

Marina Grande di AmalfiMarina Grande di Amalfi

For a taste of genuine Italian beach life the Marina Grande di Amalfi is one of the best beaches on the Amalfi Coast (these are some others).

Naples

Naples is not a city for the faint hearted.  I have never been wild about Naples though, and it failed to make my top Italian cities list,  but it is in many ways the "most typical" of all Italian cities.  So if you are brave enough here are a few accommodation options.

Puglia/Apulia

Puglia has to be one of the most fabulous of all Italian regions. I mean it has absolutely everything from the Caves of Polignano to the Gargano Peninsula, which is featured on this list of the eight most incredible Italian places. Nearly forgot, the beaches are awesome as well - these are the best ones.

Castaluccia di Norcia

Castaluccia di Norcia lies high upon the Umbrian plain in the Monte Sibillini National Park and on the border of Le Marche.

Spring is the time to visit; fields are filled with flowers, the air is fresh and all the villagers seem to have a smile on their face.  June too is the time that festivals like the Festa dell'Ascensione take place.

Susan has a number of other photos of Umbria (click here to see them) while I'd suggest that, if you are in the Sibillini parks vicinity, you also have a look at gorgeous San Ginesio.
