The Best Veneto Hotels

Looking for a good hotel or bed & breakfast in Veneto? From Verona to Padova, I have selected the best Veneto hotels and bed and breakfasts. All of them I can recommend with confidence.

I don’t feature endless lists—only those I know personally and that I think are well worth staying at. Many of these are places I stayed while exploring the Veneto with my family.

Those nearer our home in Vicenza are often the sort of places where I know the people running the hotel. People I can trust won't let me down by giving you a horrible time.

The hotels on this page cover most areas of the Veneto; however, if you need a list of the hotels in Venice then click here and for hotels on Lake Garda visit my guide.

 Excellent Hotels in Verona

Hotel Gabbia D'Oro

Gabbia D'Oro,Verona,Italy

Completely different from the very modern Hotel Verona is the Gabbia d’Oro, which means Golden Cage in English. A lot more expensive too, but then you do get to stay in a magnificent 18th-century palace in a perfect location near Piazza Erbe and the Arena. The best hotel in Verona and one of the best hotels in the Veneto outside of Venice.

The Hotel de Capuletti

We spent a few days at the Hotel de Capuleti this summer, the photo above was taken from my bedroom window. It is perfect if you like clean, very modern, and efficient hotels. Add to that a great breakfast, friendly staff (they let us check in three hours early), and a perfect location just around the corner from the Roman Arena. Don't take my word for it, though.

Hotel Verona

Hotel Verona is an excellent three star hotel, in a great location and spotlessly clean. The free bicycles for guests is a nice touch and bicycle is a great way to explore Verona.  For more guest reviews and booking details click here.

Padova/Padua Hotels

Hotel Belludi 37

St Anthony PaduaBasilica di Sant'Antonio

The Hotel Belludi is miles ahead of any other hotel in Padua. Good value, very central location and with views of Padua’s Basilica di Sant'Antonio. Breakfast in bed is a nice touch and not common in Italy. Read more here.

Asolo

Flower Boxes Asolo

Asolo is a gorgeous little town that you simply have to make time to see. It's been an inspiration for poets, writers and artists for centuries and has somehow managed to escape mass tourism. Good new too is that Asolo is blessed with some superb accommodation options. Top of my list are the Albergo al Sole  and the Cipriani.

A Good Vicenza Hotel

The Glam Boutique

Roman Theater Vicenza

Vicenza has, for some strange reason, very few decent hotels and virtually none in the old town - which is where you really want to be. The Glam Boutique Hotel is far and away the best bet if you are looking for a well-run, clean and friendly hotel offering very good rates and in the perfect location. In fact it is so good and so unique you'll have a hard time believing it is a three star hotel.

P.S. Photo above is of the nearby Olympic Theater NOT the hotel. For hotel photos, reviews and booking details click here.
