Romantic Venice

Venice Vacation Rentals

They say Paris is the city of love, but taking a gondola ride through the channels of Venice with a nice bottle of wine surely must be one of the most romantic things to do in this beautiful city renowned for its social atmosphere, artworks and architecture.

You’ll need a few days to explore this historic place and that means you’ll need some accommodation. Have you considered a short term vacation rental?

Advantages of staying in vacation rental apartments

•Living like the Venetians means your stay will be all the more authentic. And choosing a luxury apartment gives you all the creature comforts reminding you you’re on vacation.

•If you’re travelling with a family, it makes perfect sense. You don’t have to worry about kids being in a separate room possibly on a different level of a hotel and bigger apartments have plenty of space so you’re not treading on each other’s toes.

•Rental apartments function exactly like a home away from home with a fully equipped kitchen. Preparing some of your meals in your apartment means you can spend more money when you’re out and we all know hotel room service is steep no matter where you travel.

•Quite often luxury apartments are much cheaper than hotels because they have fewer overheads. Getting supplies in and out of a hotel can be quite expensive as everything needs to be transported by boat – this is passed onto the customer.

•You’ll feel like you have more freedom. No interruptions from room service staff gives you even more privacy during your stay.

What to expect from a luxury vacation rental in Venice

You can expect luxury apartments or villas to come with everything you’d imagine such as quality antique furnishings, spacious double beds, polished timber floors, high exposed timber ceilings, fully equipped kitchens, entertainment systems, air conditioning, wifi or ADSL internet access. Some even have hot tubs and private gardens.

What area of Venice should I stay?

Venice is a very safe city no matter where you stay. Look for apartments in the heart of the city, perhaps with a view over the Grand Canal. You want to be central as it’s easier to get to the main attractions. In saying that, everything is reachable on foot or Vaporetto (waterbus). Some locations to consider include San Marco (great for fashion shopping), San Polo and Dorsoduro (great for the nightlife) and Northern Cannaregio (much quieter area). Use the search box at the top right of our page to search for details about each area.

What is the price range?

You can expect to pay anything from €80 per night for a one bedroom apartment sleeping four people up to €600 per night for a two bedroom, two bathroom dwelling with all the mod cons including satellite TV!
