Venice Treviso Airport & Getting to Venice

Options are varied but from my personal experience I have found that the BMI flights to Venice are the best. They offer pretty good prices and a reliable service.

One advantage they have over Ryanair is that if you are going to Venice they fly into Venice Marco Polo, which is the actual Venice airport. Easy Jet is probably a good second best. They have flights from Gatwick, Bristol and Nottingham into Venice Marco Polo.

Both Easy Jet and Ryanair sometimes offer such silly prices that it makes sense to put up with bad service and anyway the service isn’t that bad – normally.

Next is Ryanair – excellent for cheap flights to Venice Italy but the service can be poor. They have flights leaving from Luton, Liverpool and Stanstead.

Ryanair say that they fly into Venice but the flights are actually into Treviso or Venice Treviso as Ryanair calls it. Treviso is a fairly long way from Venice and the direct shuttle service from Treviso to Venice will probably cost you more than your flight.

If you do fly into Treviso Airport then the best way to get from Treviso to Venice is with the ATVO Eurobus rather than the direct shuttle – just ask airport information for details. A return ticket costs 10 Euros and the journey time is an hour and fifteen minutes.
