Italy has the best lifestyle in all the world. I know this for a fact having lived in Rome from 1980-92 and owning my own business in the center. I miss the piazzas, cafés, streets, food, artchetecture, art, clothes, music and hustle and vibe of the dolce vita. Someday I will return and remain!

Maria's reply: I do hope yo get to return and remain someday.

Lovely Italy

Beautiful Italy

Beautiful Italy

Well my reasons are really the very same ones as all of us. Italy is unforgettable, and it is so very old!!!!!!jaja, I love Roman History right from the very beginnings; Monarchy, Republic, Empire I love it all!

Rome is my very best city of all, regarding the best place in Rome it has to be Via Giulia, just Via Giulia, no reason really. Then also Venice, and Tocai Friulano !!!!! and Mira, the Brenta River, Palladian's Villas near Vicenza and elsewhere in the Veneto.

In the South all the way up to Salerno Vietri sul mare - no further along there though. Lovely too are Ravello, Positano, Sorrento and its narrow streets, the Hotel Imperial Tramontano where Torcuato Tasso was Born, thanks Liliana.

Maria's reply:
Thank you Liliana, I am really loving your contributions here and on my Facebook page. I agree with all the places you mention as being lovely and there are so many other wonderful spots that are truly unforgettable.

Some of those I really love include Piedmont, Umbria and of course Le Marche but even then there is so much more, Liguria for example and of course Sicily and Puglia are amazing too.

In fact the wonderful thing about Italy is that nearly every region, every town, every village has something special to offer and each and every one is unique in its own way.

You don't have to travel very far to find completely different scenery, food, culture, traditions. In fact even local dialects and accents change greatly within very short distances.

I think it would take an entire lifetime to see all that Italy has to offer. Then you'd need another lifetime to do it all again because you can never get enough of Italy and any place you visit you'll always long to return too. Italy has a way of really capturing ones heart forever.
